Fueling the city of Oakland fleet with city waste: As a result of a holistic and innovative approach, the city- which uses 1,500 types of vehicles- no longer uses diesel-powered vehicles and is using a combination of low-carbon fuels, compressed natural gas and electric vehicles.

California Announces $17.5 million for Public Electric Vehicle Charging in 13 Rural Counties
The California Energy Commission (CEC) announced that $17.5 million is available to expand public electric vehicle (EV) charging in 13 rural counties. Incentives available through the new Inland Communities Incentive Project will cover up to 75 percent of EV charging equipment costs!
Charge Up! Electric Vehicle Charger Incentive Program
This SJV APCD program provides funding for public agencies, businesses, and property owners of multi-unit dwellings (i.e. apartment complexes, condominiums, etc.) in the San Joaquin Valley to install electric vehicle (EV) chargers.

In Pathway 2045, SCE’s data-driven analysis of what it will take for California to attain its goal of being carbon neutral by 2045, the company calls for the electrification of 76% of light-duty vehicles, 67% of medium-duty vehicles and 38% of heavy-duty vehicles in the state over the next 25 years.
