What is TOU?
• The TOU initiative is to encourage customers to use energy at the times of day when renewable energy, like solar and wind, is the most abundant at the lower cost.
• Reducing the amount of energy used during “On-Peak” hours, will help customers reduce their energy cost.

What are the benefits of TOU?
• Take advantage of lower electricity prices in the morning, afternoon, and late at night.
• The less energy used between the peak hours of <4-9 p.m.>, the greater the savings.
• Run larger appliance and electronics during off-peak hours for increased savings.

Customer Options?
• Opt-out from defaulting and simply stay on their current rate
• Do nothing and allow the default to proceed as planned
• Opt for another TOU rate plan other than the customer’s default rate
• Opt-in to their default rate earlier upon request
