Energy efficiency technology has come a very long way in recent years.  Ever heard of window glass that can adjust the amount of sunlight entering a room? 

This is a real thing and groundbreaking technology!  Electrochromic glass, also known as smart glass or electronically switchable glass allows a building occupant to control the amount of sunlight and heat that enters a room with the flick of a switch. 

Without impacting visibility, an interior space can be equally comfortable year around in direct sunlight.  Electrochromic glass can easily be used in any window fitting in residential and commercial space and can help save lots on heating and cooling energy usage by stabilizing the temperature in a room. 

There is more than one type of electrochromic glass.  One type, which I just described, can deepen its tint.  Another type can change its opacity.  Therefore, where the glass is installed, can have clear windows or become opaque to create privacy.  You can base your decision on the type of glass according to its application.
