We still have a couple of months of cold weather left in the season and it’s not too late to think about ways to save on heating costs. PG&E and SCE both offer rebates for the purchase of smart thermostats.
That makes a smart thermostat smart? They can be programmed to heat or cool based on the occupancy of the building and they can be operated remotely from a mobile phone. In many cases, they can “learn” your habits and set the temperature based on your preferences.
Installing a smart thermostat is a great way to manage your energy usage and can be added to a system of energy savings controls to turn your building into a smart building.
