After celebrating Earth Day last week on April 22nd, there were countless feel-good moments broadcasted that made us all hope for a clean energy future. While many schools around the world were closed, children and young people are still making their voices heard through the #ClimateStrikeOnline, and the youth climate movement is showing solidarity with their older relatives by staying inside to help keep everyone safe. SoCalREN:

SCE:
Need some more inspiration for a water project? Look no further! SCE has highlighted the West Basin Municipal Water District for making enhancements that has lead to $90,000 in annual savings! Check out more here.

SCE is continuing to offer payment assistance options for customers, including payment extensions and arrangements. More information on how to qualify for programs like CARE, FERA or Medical Baseline can be found here.

PG&E:
Check out these quick PG&E tips that will help y’all conserve more water! “6 Steps to More Effective Water Conservation,” will give you some insight on the small things that can make a massive difference.

As a response to COVID-19, foundations and nonprofits are actively raising money and donations to support those who are being impacted by the pandemic. The Community Foundation of San Luis Obispo has raised over $200,000 to their Disaster Support Fund and was pleased to announce of one their funding partners, Pacific Gas & Electric Company! Thank you, PG&E, for your contributions to support your communities.

SCG:
Just last week, Southern California Gas Company made a very important announcements to customers! On April 17th, SoCalGas “announced it and other important stakeholders have agreed on details of a proposed plan to offer renewable natural gas to customers, and have filed that agreement with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).” Please click here to read the full release on this new, exciting venture!
