Audience Questions
Question 1: Summer of 2023? The grant needs to be completed by 2023?
Response 1: The period of performance is 36 months. Therefore, the awarded project would need to be up and running by 2026 or 36 months following the execution of the grant agreement with CDFA.
Question 2: Do you know the eligibility for fairgrounds? I know one of the CRC grants do not include fairgrounds that are part of the California Network of Fairgrounds.
Response 2: “While state/public entities are eligible to apply, fairgrounds within the Network of California Fairs are not eligible applicants for this round of funding.” It appears that fairgrounds that are not within this network may be eligible to apply provided they meet the other requirements. However, there is no information posted about the Fairgrounds-focused program at this time.
Question 3: Does community engagement need to be included in the application, or can it be after grant award?
Response 3: Yes, as per the Request for Grant Applications, “All applicants must be based in California and demonstrate how residents and local community members helped shape the proposed project and will be involved in all phases of the project moving forward.”
Question 4: Can you re-review the due date of 2/27/2023. Are there approved guidelines? I only have draft.
Response 4: The application due date is 2/27/23 for the CRC Program. CDFA released the “CDFA 2022 Community Resilience Centers Program Request for Grant Applications” which outlines the guidelines for applicants. The link to this document is here.
