Driving in 2024 with a Pre Owned EV (and some extra $$$)
As we kickstart another year, we start to envision our goals or intentions for the next 12 months. Is it to walk more during the day or to use less single use plastic or to decrease your carbon footprint? Maybe it is to make a new purchase? Save for a fun trip or a new vehicle? I say this as a driver of a 2007 Nissan Sentra that I have had for many years and am struggling to part with. BUT I know that this is the year that a new vehicle is needed, so what better time to take advantage of rebates from our California Investor-Owned Utilities! Purchasing an electric vehicle can be a massive change for folks, myself included! But with the detailed directions and insights for your utility, capturing these rebates for EVs will be no problem at all.
Whether you are an SCE or PG&E electric customer, there is a rebate available for you through the Pre-Owned Electric Vehicle Rebate Program (POEV). Check out some of the program requirements and additional details from both SCE and PG&E.
Both PG&E and SCE offer excellent resources and tools to help guide customers through the process of receiving a rebate. Whether that is the $1,000 or $4,000 rebate, each utility will share what documents you need to gather, submission dates, and other key factors!
