  1. Community Economic Resilience Fund Program Year 2022-24

    Who:  Nonprofit Public Agency Tribal Government

    What: Community Economic Resilience Fund (CERF) Program funding is to build an equitable and sustainable economy across California’s diverse regions and foster long-term economic resilience in the overall transition to a carbon-neutral economy. CERF will use a high-road approach to economic development to support the creation of quality jobs and equal access to those jobs.

    When: Application deadline July 25th, 2022

    How Much: Estimated amount per award: $1-$5 million and total program funding: $65 million

  2. National Endowment for the Arts “Our Town” Grant

    Who: Require a partnership between a nonprofit organization and a local government entity

    What: Through project-based funding, the program supports activities that integrate arts, culture, and design into local efforts that strengthen communities. Our Town projects advance local economic, physical, or social outcomes in communities, ultimately laying the groundwork for systems change and centering equity

    When:  Application due August 4, 2022 by 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time

    How Much: Grants range from $25,000 to $150,000, with a minimum cost share/match equal to the grant amount

  3. 2022 Beginning Farmer and Farmworker Training and Workforce Development

    Who: Nonprofit Tribal Government (Community Colleges eligible as co-applicants with a local organization- there will be a geographic preference and priority for projects in top agricultural regions (Central Valley, Coachella Valley, Imperial Valley, Central Coast, Southern California).

    What: This program is targeted to support organizations in the development, enhancement and/or expansion of beginning farmer apprenticeship programs and farm worker training and workforce development programs. To ensure that resources are dedicated to strengthening support for socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers in the first ten years of business (beginning farmers), and upscaling or advancement of agricultural skills for farmworkers to provide job sustainability.

    When:  Application deadline is August 1st, 2022

    How Much: Estimated amount per award: $50,000-$1 million and total program funding: $5 million

  4. USDA Rural Housing Service Rural Housing Preservation Grant

    Who: public agencies, private nonprofit organizations (Faith-Based and Community Organizations, and other eligible entities grant funds to assist very low- and low-income homeowners)

    What: The Rural Housing Service (RHS) announces that it is soliciting applications under its Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) program. In addition, the HPG program assists rental property owners and cooperative housing complexes in repairing and rehabilitating their units if they agree to make such units available to low- and very low-income persons.

    When:  Application due Monday, July 11, 2022

    How Much: Estimated total program funding $16,000,000
