SCE | Wrapping Up Time of Use!

Over the last 3+ years, the SJVCEO has partnered with Southern California Edison as part of the Time of Use Residential Transition program. While the last few years have thrown us many curve balls, delays, and changes, we are so proud to wrap up this program with SCE on a positive note. Back in 2019, we were gearing up for the TOU transition, prepping education materials, and conducting outreach to our communities to prepare them for the rate change. However, at the start of 2020- everything changed. COVID-19 hit, and our communities were heavily impacted and still are to this day. Years have passed but the effects of COVID-19 remain, which is why SCE guided us to shift our outreach to promote resources for customers to utilize to ease the stress of bill payments and provide them with ways to save.

After a couple of years of providing COVID-19 relief information directly to customers, the Time of Use transition officially occurred. Due to the inability to reach our customers, most of our communication and outreach became entirely digital. Through social media, website content, and a YouTube vlog series: we made the transition to reach our communities where they were at the time and conduct our outreach in the safest way possible. As we close out this particular outreach program, the SJVCEO will continue to support SCE through other CBO programs and provide all resources that will greatly benefit our communities.
