  1. Conservation Agriculture Planning Grants Program 2021

    Who:  Business Individual Nonprofit Public Agency Tribal Government (see full breakdown here)

     What: Conservation Agriculture Planning Grant Program (CAPGP) will fund the development of conservation agriculture plans that will help farmers and ranchers identify actions for climate change mitigation and adaptation, further environmental stewardship on farms and ranches and ensure agricultural food security into the future.

     When: Application deadline- October 23rd, 2022

     How Much: Estimated amount per award $2,400 – $250,000

  2. U.S. Department of Commerce Public Works Program

    Who: Educational Institution, Local Government, Native/Tribal Entity, Non-profit, and State Government

     What: Through the Public Works program, EDA provides catalytic investments to help distressed communities build, design, or engineer critical infrastructure and facilities that will help implement regional development strategies and advance bottom-up economic development goals to promote regional prosperity.

    When: Ongoing application submission

    How Much: Limit per applicant- Typically $600,000 to $3,000,000

  3. CAL FIRE’s 2022-2023 Types of Urban Forestry Grant Projects and Grant Allocations: School Greening Program

    Who: more details on eligibility coming upon launch of program

    What: Development and implementation of projects on the use of natural systems or systems that mimic natural systems to achieve multiple benefits and improve the immediate environment and learning opportunities for students at public schools. Projects will plant trees and other vegetation to provide shade and reduce ambient temperature, provide hands-on learning opportunities, and optimize co-benefits to school children and surrounding residents. Projects should be child-centered and primarily focus on child-accessible spaces. 

    When: Set to release in late October 2022
