Happy October y’all! We have had a busy month here with our public agencies and the SoCalREN. As the end of the year is near, we want to be sure to not only close out 2021 on a positive note but be fully prepared to dive into energy projects in January of 2022. Take a look below to see the latest updates on our public agency partners!
PARTNER UPDATES
City of Woodlake: No updates to report
City of Tulare: The City’s pump project is finishing up. Once savings are verified, we will pass along best practices.
City of Visalia: No updates to report
City of Barstow: : City went over proposed EE and DER measures at a few different facilities. City is reviewing plans and next steps with city manager and staff.
City of Lindsay: City is moving forward with SoCalREN’s NMEC Program to captures a better amount of energy savings at the Wellness Center. Hope to share some great savings estimates soon.
Kings County: Presented the county with a Comparative Energy Analysis last month. This report will help to guide savings opportunities within county infrastructure as we move into planning for 2022.
City of Hanford: No updates to report
City of Victorville: Victorville is working with SoCalREN to have audits completed at a City few facilities. Once audits are completed SoCalREN will outline savings opportunities.
City of Farmersville: No updates to report
Town of Apple Valley: Just received all IOU data points to complete a Comparative Energy Analysis. Next steps will be working on the CEA and then present the town with that information.
SoCalREN Highlights
One of our partners, City of Lindsay, is moving forward with SoCalREN’s Metered Savings Program (as mentioned above) to take a comprehensive approach that will capture savings! What is the Metered Savings Program? This program offers a new way to unlock “stranded” savings and access SoCalREN’s energy efficiency project delivery services at no cost. It uses normalized metered energy consumption (NMEC) to measure energy savings at the meter, unlocking new project opportunities to go beyond utility incentive eligible measures. This comprehensive approach reduces the complexity of multi-measure projects, allowing for deeper savings with speedier project completion.
